NYU Langone Medical Center’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a service for newborn babies who are born premature or who need special medical and/or surgical care at birth.
The NICU team provides optimal care in a supportive family-centered environment. The unit has serene, family-friendly atmosphere in accordance with the goals of the Developmental Care Program, which addresses the developmental needs of the newborn by providing a womb-like atmosphere and advocating close and continual contact with parents.
Our NICU is ranked among the best in the country for the provision of premature care.
