NYU Langone Medical Center offers physical therapy to pregnant women and new mothers. The program is part of the Outpatient Physical Therapy Women’s Health Program at the Rusk Institute and is often covered by insurance.

Women with pain or discomfort related to pregnancy, delivery, and/or postnatal baby care can obtain a referral from their doctor and receive one on one treatment with a physical therapist specializing in prenatal/postpartum therapy. The treatment may include massage/manual therapy, exercises, body mechanics/posture training, bladder incontinence management, and much more.
