The Social Work Department provides discharge planning and counseling for patients coping with the impact of parenthood as well as pre-term labor and premature babies.
The social worker can assist with referrals to community resources such as parenting classes, baby nurse agencies, resources for parents of multiples, and WIC.

Family Bereavement
This program is designed to assist patients who are admitted to Tisch Hospital with follow-up bereavement services and/or referals to appropriate community resources. The program provides memory boxes and family resource packets to families and training to staff.
