Our Labor and Delivery Unit is located on the 8th Floor of Tisch Hospital. When advised by your doctor to go to the hospital, you should go to the nursing station here. Our Labor & Delivery nurses will greet you.

Once on the floor, our nurses will assess your needs and evaluate you and your baby. Your baby will be placed on a fetal monitor, and you will be examined by your doctor, midwife or house physician.

The doctor, nurse practitioner or midwife will then determine if it is time for you to be admitted or if you should walk around for a little while before re-examination, or going home.
